Zatar has white flowers, preferring full sun and dry to mesic soils. Zones 8 to 12; can be colder if the winter is very dry; in other zones, grow as a 90-day annual. Sow seed in the spring, in pots or flats or directly in the garden. Barely cover seed, tamp securely, and keep evenly moist until germination, which occurs in 5 to 10 days. Thin or transplant to 1 foot apart.
