Perilla frutescens var. crispa. Hardy annual with cinnamon-scented leaves, rich in calcium and iron. Popular across South and East Asia, used for seasoning, colouring, pickling and garnishing. Heat loving plants that can grow up to 1m (36’) in well drained soil, full sun. NB. Cold stratify seeds before sowing, then sow into warm soil. Keep temperature above 70 degrees and give them light to germinate them.
