Description
Black Cohosh is a herbaceous perennial forest dweller. Zones 4 to 9. This plant thrives in moist, loamy soils of shade garden or forest. Sow seed in fall for germination in spring or give 30 days warm, moist treatment, followed by 90 days cold, moist treatment, followed by germination in warm soil. Grow seedlings in the shade and work up in successively larger pots. Transplant to 2 feet between the plants; mulch. [50 organically certified seeds/packet]
